Tamaqua, Lehighton roll to girls soccer wins

Two local soccer teams earned Schuylkill League victories on Monday.

Tamaqua's senior Morgan Boyle helped boost the Tamaqua soccer team over Jim Thorpe in overtime, as Lehighton had an offensive explosion against North Schuylkill.GIRLS SOCCERJim Thorpe-TamaquaTamaqua earned an exciting Schuylkill League win against Jim Thorpe in overtime, 1-0.The game was scoreless headed into overtime, but Boyle broke the ice at the 5:28 mark of overtime--thanks to a Kayla Sherry cross.Tamaqua accumulated 25 shots on goal during the win.
