SCHUYLKILL COUNTY COURT - PROBATION

Schuylkill County judges have placed a number of people on probation.

Jason R. Stephens, 22, of Schuylkill Haven: Charged by Rush Township police with theft by deception and receiving stolen property on Oct. 25, 2014, and Nov. 22, 2014, and with criminal conspiracy to commit theft by deception on Oct. 30, 2014; and by Tamaqua police with resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance on June 15, 2014.In the Nov. 22, 2014, case, Judge James Goodman dropped the receiving charge and sentenced Stephens to 12 months probation and to pay Walmart $91.68 in restitution. In the Oct. 25, 2014, case, he dropped the receiving charge and ordered him to pay Walmart $125.49 in restitution and serve 12 months probation. In the Oct. 30, 2014, case, he sentenced Stephens to pay Walmart $125.22 in restitution and serve 12 months probation. And in the June 6, 2014, case, he ordered him to 12 months probation.Faith E. Morgan, 41, of Mahanoy City: Charged by Rush Township police with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property, and disorderly conduct on June 22, 2014. Judge John Domalakes agreed to drop all but the receiving charge and sentenced Morgan to 23 months of probation.Brent A. Evans, 44, of Coal Township: Charged by Tamaqua police with terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment, defiant trespass and criminal mischief stemming from an incident on July 24, 2014. Domalakes agreed to drop charges of harassment, trespass, and criminal mischief, and sentenced Evans to 23 months probation.Amy L. Kozie, 45, of Frackville: Charged by Rush Township police with theft of services on Dec. 8, 2014. Domalakes sentenced Kozie to 24 months of probation.Taryn L. Depos, 29, of Tamaqua: charged by Coaldale police with criminal conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking and criminal attempt at theft by deception after an incident on July 29, 2014. Goodman agreed to drop the criminal attempt charge, and sentenced Depos to 12 months of probation and to pay $130 in restitution to one victim, $282 to another, and $5 to a third.Skylar R. Spence, 21, of Tamaqua: Charged by Rush Township police with theft of leased property and receiving stolen property on Sept. 25, 2014. Goodman agreed to drop the receiving charge and sentenced Spence to 12 months of probation and to pay $1,072 in restitution to Rent-A-Center.Jericho L. Skuntz, 24, of West Hazleton: charged by Rush Township police with retail theft and receiving stolen property on Nov. 4, 2014. Goodman agreed to drop the receiving charge and sentenced Skuntz to 18 months of probation, and to pay $431.38 in restitution to Walmart.
