The state Department of Transportation will conduct a public presentation for the proposed replacement of a bridge in Mahoning Township.

A public officials meeting and a public plans display for the replacement of the Route 3001 (Fritz Valley Road) Bridge over Normal Creek will be held from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the Mahoning Township Municipal Building, 2685 Mahoning Drive E., Lehighton.The public plans display will be held during the regularly scheduled township supervisors meeting that will start at 6 p.m.At that time, PennDOT and its design consultant, Gannett Fleming Inc., will be on hand to discuss the project objectives and the proposed bridge replacement.The purpose of the presentation is to update the public and local communities on the project design and the results of recent environmental studies related to the project.The meeting format will consist of a brief presentation using display boards to describe the project.For additional information, contact Consultant Project Manager Douglas V.
