Quick response by fire fighters saved a home Friday morning in Slatington. The fire was first reported just after 8 a.m. at 105 Hill street just south of East Church street. Reports from the scene were firemen extinguished a fire in the basement of the large two story wood frame dwelling. No injuries were reported in the incident.
