The Very Rev. Msgr. Michael Sopoliga, pastor of St. John's Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning, was honored on the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the holy priesthood.

The observance included the Solemn Pontifical Divine Liturgy at the church and a testimonial banquet held at the Lehighton Armory.Msgr. Sopoliga has served the past 17 years as pastor in Nesquehoning and was named a monsignor in 1967.Mayor John Nalesnik and Thomas Watto, church president, participated, as did the Most Rev. Bishop John R. Martin.
