Environmental groups to protest PennEast pipeline in New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Environmental groups opposed to the PennEast pipeline project are planning to protest at New Jersey's Statehouse.

They'll hold a march and news conference Tuesday to say the project will not save customers money and could threaten tourism along the Delaware River. The proposed 118-mile natural gas pipeline would originate in Luzerne County and transport natural gas through Carbon and Northampton counties before ending near Pennington, New Jersey, in Mercer County.
