Monroe man killed in Route 80 crash

State police have identified the victim of Friday's fatal one-car wreck on Interstate 80 as a Monroe County man.

Lonnie D. Blaney, 34, of Stroudsburg, was pronounced dead at the scene by a Carbon County deputy coroner.

Police said that around 8:40 a.m. Blaney's 2012 Toyota Camry veered off the road and struck a tree head on. The car struck another tree before coming to a stop.

The crash occurred in the west bound lanes at the 282 mile marker, about two miles west of the Route 115 interchange in Kidder Township.

State police are still investigating the crash.
