Two Carbon County businesses have been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.
Cindy's Rusty Rail, located at 939 Mauch Chunk Road, Palmerton, was cited for failing to post in a conspicuous place on the outside of the licensed premises, or in a window plainly visible from the outside, a notice of suspension which violates that state liquor code. The offense occurred on June 1.Lizard Creek Tavern, located at 1424 W. Lizard Creek Road, East Penn Township, was cited for sold, furnished, and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor, 20 years of age. The offense occurred on Aug. 8.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also imposed a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
