An Effort man was hurt in a one-car crash Sept. 10 in Chestnuthill Township, according to state police at Fern Ridge.

Gonzalo Zermeno Jr., 18, was traveling north of Route 115 at 1 p.m. when he briefly took his eyes off the road and began to veer into the left lane.As he tried to correct his steering, he began to turn sideways and went off the road. Zermeno's 2008 Honda Civic rolled over onto its roof and hit a tree.He was wearing a lap and shoulder belt, and did not need to be taken by ambulance to a hospital.The extent of his injuries was not known, according to police.
