A man was injured Thursday afternoon when involved in a crash along Route 443 in Walker Township.

The crash occurred just before 4 p.m. as a man was driving east and had stopped to make a left turn onto Mountain Road.

In doing so he was struck in the rear by a pickup truck. The truck swerved to the right descending down a steep embankment impacting with a utility pole.

State police at Frackville are investigating the incident. Route 443 was reduced to one alternating lane by Walker Township fire police.
