Jim Zbick, Congrats on the fine piece you wrote concerning ESPN’s release of Curt Schilling over his public statement on Twitter about a small percentage of radical leadership being able to take control of a country or religion if a majority of those within that country or religion ignore the threat, and sit back and do nothing.Lessons from history about the consequences of radical group takeovers should never be ignored (i.e. Hitler’s Nazis in Germany) The Muslim “Jihadists” of today (ISIS, among others) are certainly no different, or even worse, as they use extreme violence to carry out their goals of mass murder and intimidation of all who they consider “infidels” to their beliefs.Just like back then, the appeasers and “politically correct“ power brokers, who demean and punish those who expose the current and potential dangers of these fanatics, are ignoring both the facts and reality concerning these armed and extremely dangerous organizations. If nothing is done to publicly expose and stop their actions and influence in the world we live in, History will be repeated, and the consequences will be disastrous. We do not need or desire another World War to prove this point.Once again, kudos to you, Curt Schilling, Stacey Dash, Sarah Palin and all others with the courage to speak out concerning these radical Muslim actions with passion and conviction of purpose, so that the world might recognize the existing danger and further potential destruction that may lay ahead. For me, it is about time the Muslim world itself comes to terms with this significant problem that has actually existed since the “Iran Hostage Crisis “of the 1980s with the USA (and even for centuries before with other nations and religions, if you study history). The archaic mindset that “everyone in the world MUST follow your religion as you define it “or be victimized, has no place in either the governments or societies of today’s modern world. We are in this world together, and the sooner we tolerate our differences, the better, so that we can cooperate and help each other toward better lives here on this planet.David C HeffelfingerEast Penn Township
