A Tamaqua woman admitted in Carbon County court to exposing herself to her 7-year-old son.
Ann Marie Hoffman, 37, pleaded guilty before Judge Steven R. Serfass to one count of corruption of a minor.She was charged by Jim Thorpe police for an incident on Oct. 12, 2013. Police responded to the area of 69 W. Ninth St. for a report of child abuse. On scene officers learned that Hoffman exposed her breasts to her son and allowed him to take photos and videos with a cell phone.Hoffman offered no explanation for her actions when asked by Serfass, except to say she was having problems with the boy.Serfass placed her on probation for 18 months and ordered her to pay court costs of about $1,000, pay a $50 per month supervision fee, and get a mental health evaluation and follow any recommendations for treatment.
