Schuylkill warrants dissolved, bail reduced
A Tremont woman charged with drug offenses two years ago by Rush Township police had a bench warrant against her dissolved and bail reinstated.
Brittni Shaak, 21, was ordered by Schuylkill County Judge James Goodman to live at 120 W. Laurel St., Tremont, and not relocate without court approval. Goodman released her on $5,000 unsecured bail.Rush Township police charged Shaak on Nov. 26, 2013, with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Shaak had methamphetamine in her blood system during a 2 a.m. incident in the parking lot of Skipper Dippers along Route 309. She was admitted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program in October 2013.In May, she failed to show up for a hearing, and Judge Cyrus P. Dolbin issued a bench warrant. Dolbin found that she had violated the conditions of the program, and terminated her participation.On July 22, she was charged by Pottsville police with use or possession of drug paraphernalia.Michael Kabana, 25, of Coaldale, had his bench warrant dissolved, and Goodman set bail at $5,000 straight cash. Goodman will allow Kabana to seek a bail reduction when he has a suitable address.Kabana was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance on July 9 by Tamaqua police.In March, he was charged by Tamaqua police with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, and criminal use of a communication facility stemming from a June 4, 2014, incident. All charges but one count of delivery were dropped. President Judge William Baldwin jailed Kabana for up to 23 months, with immediate parole. Kabana had already served 89 days. He was also ordered to pay court costs and fees.Anthony J. Napolitano, 30, of Tamaqua, had his bench warrant dissolved and bail reinstated at $5,000 unsecured. Goodman ordered Napolitano to live at 411 E. Broad St. and not relocate without court approval. He's also forbidden to have, consume or transport any alcoholic beverage or controlled substance.Napolitano was charged by Rush Township police on Nov. 19, 2014 with resisting arrest, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license, disorderly conduct and endangering the welfare of children.Tina M. Hosier, 29, of Tamaqua, had her bail reduced by Goodman from $15,000 cash to $15,000 unsecured. He ordered her to live at 45 W. Broad St. and not relocate without court approval. Hosier also was ordered to keep in touch with her public defender.Hosier was charged by Tamaqua police on Aug. 21 with resisting arrest and having prescription drugs not prescribed to her.
