The late August heat wave hit just in time for one last chance to cool off in the Northern Lehigh Pool located in Slatington at Victory Park. The pool is set to close for the season Monday night and reopen Memorial Day weekend. For pool manager Farrell Snyder this will be the last time he closes the pool. Snyder and board officers are set to retire from the pool business at the close of this season.
