Defendants pleading guilty Friday before Carbon County president Judge Roger N. Nanovic were:

Charles Gorman, 48, of Hatboro, Bucks County. He was charged Jan. 22, 2014, by state police at Fern Ridge after taking $7,200 from a Penn Forest Township woman to repair her home, which had been damaged by a tree that fell during a storm. Nanovic sentenced him to nine to 23 months in prison, and to pay $7,360 restitution. Gorman is also serving time in Bucks County, where he also took money for work he never did. His Carbon County sentence is to run concurrently with the Bucks County sentence.Amber Colleen DeFiore, 22, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty to resisting arrest. She was charged by state police at Lehighton on April 17. Nanovic sentenced her to one year of probation, with zero tolerance for controlled substance use, and to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.Stephen Lassel, 26, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property. He was charged by state police at Lehighton on July 2. Nanovic deferred sentencing.Justen C. Neff, 35, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy to commit theft. He was charged by Lehighton police on June 15 in connection with a burglary at 21 Green St. Nanovic sentenced Neff to nine months to two years less one day in prison, followed by one year of probation, and ordered him to pay $145 in restitution to the victims.Ashley Neff, 40, of Palmerton, pleaded guilty to trying to substitute her sister's clean urine for her own during a June 11 drug screening while on probation. She was charged by Jim Thorpe police. Nanovic placed her on one year of probation, with the condition that if she is accepted into a long term treatment program, she enroll and complete it. He imposed a zero tolerance for drug use and ordered a drug and alcohol evaluation.Shaun A. Mann, 20, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance. He was charged by Lehighton police on Dec. 18, 2014. Nanovic sentenced him to one year of probation, with zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use, and to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.Tyler Lafeir, 27, of Easton, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin. He was charged by state police at Lehighton on Sept. 3, 2014. Nanovic deferred sentencing.
