September 4, 1992 - Dan Steigerwalt runs for over 100 yards on offense and returns an interception for a touchdown on defense to help Lehighton open its season with a 25-14 win over Panther Valley. Steigerwalt carries 14 times for 109 yards, including a 41-yard TD run. His pick-six of 33 yards in the fourth quarter closes the scoring for the Indians, coached by Dave Parsons. Daryl Snyder adds a pair of touchdowns, one a two-yard run and another a fumble recovery in the end zone. The winners, who gain 243 yards on the ground, also receive 84 rushing yards from Terry Blair.
