Man points gun at two in Monroe

A Monroe County man has been charges following a gun-pointing incident which was the result of a domestic dispute.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Jacob Smith, 22, of 9864 Deerwood Drive, Tobyhanna, has been charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats and harassment. He was arraigned before a district judge and released after posting bail. Police said at 8:35 a.m. Saturday they were dispatched to Smith's residence for a domestic dispute with a firearm. Police were met by the victim, who said she just had a domestic with ex-boyfriend Smith. She said when she woke up that morning Smith was yelling at her. He then pulled out a shotgun, loaded it and pointed at her.She got out of the house and called police. When the victim's friend arrived to pick her up, Smith pointed the gun at her and yelled to get her off of the property. Smith was taken into custody and charged.
