The Carbon County Commissioners today awarded contracts to repoint the walls of the Court House and Jail in the county-seat community to Michael Lynn, Scranton contractor who submitted the lowest, responsible bids among six firms.

The bid for the Court House job was $1,909 and the jail bid was $1,975.In other business, the commissioners authorized Chief Clerk Nelson W. Norwood to readvertise bids calling for the sale of up to 60 surplus pigs at Laurytown, the county home, and County Engineer S.K. Evans submitted a report on the county-owned bridges, calling attention to the bad condition of the span at Tannery, it being badly in need of scraping and paint.
