The Monk Fur Company, West Broadway, Jim Thorpe, today announced its purchase of the three-car garage and adjoining storeroom of the Charles Eckhart Estate in the 300 block of West Broadway, directly opposite the company's parking lot.

Members of the Eckhart family formerly used the storeroom as a candy store.The fur company plans to use the building as a warehouse, transferring the supplies it now has in storage in Lehighton. The company is working at peak capacity with the output the greatest in its history.
