August 27, 2005 - Tamaqua's Isaac Dunkelberger sets a new course record to win his third consecutive Kevin Truskey Memorial Run. Dunkelberger completes the 5K event in a time of 15:51 to hold off Orwigsburg's Randy Haas, who runs a 16:06. Both those times actually better the old record of 16:13. In the women's race, Tamaqua's Alexa Griffiths finishes in second place with a mark of 19:53 (Hazleton's Maria Monks takes first with a 19:01). A total of 259 runners compete in the 5K race.
