A person was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon at the Mahoning Valley Country Club along Country Club road in Mahoning Township.

The incident was reported as a man struck by and possible pinned underneath a golf cart on one of the greens.Responding were the Mahoning Valley ambulance and Lehighton paramedics as well as the Mahoning Valley and Lehighton fire companies.The victim was treated at the scene then transported to the Arner Memorial airport where he was flown by PennStar 5 medical transport helicopter to St . Luke's Hospital Trauma Center in Bethlehem.
