Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., starts at 9 a.m. Included during worship is a service of healing and blessing of the prayer shawls. The Service of Healing with prayers and the "laying on of hands" are said for those to help ease one's emotional, physical and spiritual burdens. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. The church is air-conditioned. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.Prayer shawls are hand made by volunteers, each stitch a spiritual practice. Prayer shawls wrap, comfort, shelter, beautify and celebrate love. The shawls are available free of charge to yourself or as a gift for someone adjusting to a life passage/transition.Looking ahead is the start of Sunday school sessions for students ages 3 through grade 12 with "Rally Day" activities at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 13.Bethany ECBethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship with the Rev.
