Rush Township police have cited Alexander Modawar Sr., 35, of Tamaqua, after an incident at the HT Commons Walmart on Aug. 6.

Modawar was charged with theft by deception and receiving stolen property after he traded in merchandise for a gift card. It was determined the returned merchandise was actually stolen property.The card was valued at $95.26.
