State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a burglary that happened at 6:25 p.m. Saturday in Ross Township, Monroe County, where the victim is a 93-year-old woman from Saylorsburg.

The burglary happened on Meixsell Valley Road.Police said the incident occurred when the actor entered the victim's residence through the front door while the victim was in her back yard.Police said the victim was approached by a tan-colored SUV (possibly a Jeep Cherokee or a similar style vehicle) being driven by a man who identified himself to the victim as "Jason."He is described as a white, non-Hispanic male in his late 20s or early 30s who appeared to be clean-shaven.Police said after conversing with the alleged actor for approximately 10-15 minutes, the victim went into her residence where she found the front door open and multiple items missing.Items stolen include a purse containing personal belongings and two antique jewelry boxes containing an unknown amount of gold jewelry.
