State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a burglary that was reported at 9:38 p.m. Aug. 19 in Eldred Township, Monroe County.

Police said a 55-year-old man of Howell, New Jersey, reported someone entered his cabin located on Taylor Run Road in Kunkletown, and ransacked the residence while the owner was away, taking miscellaneous items including power tools and $15,000 in cash from a safe that was in the cabin.
