August 18, 1982 Nesquehoning's Gene Snisky, Franklin Township's Barry Boyer and Jim Thorpe's Mark Brown all hit homers to lead the East to a 5-4 win over the West in the Panther Valley Little League Tournament all-star game. Snisky's three-run blast in the first inning gives the East an early lead and Boyer's solo shot in the second extends the advantage. After the West rallies to tie the score, Brown's fifth-inning bomb provides the go-ahead run. Snisky finishes with two hits while FT's Larry Arner adds a double. Brown pitches two innings for the mound win.
