Plans for the Annual Palmerton Hospital Television Auction were announced, including the planned return visit of world famous artist Morris Katz, whose paintings helped the telethon promoters raise thousands of dollars for the hospital's use.

Charles Campton, local funeral director, who is serving as chairman of the annual event, announced Katz would return on the second day of the telethon to once again make available his many paintings.Katz arrived in the U.S. from Germany at the age of 17 and his speed painting talents reached the pinnacle of his career when he made the Guinness Book of World Records in 1979 as the "world's fastest painter; creator of instant art."
