Woman sentenced in drug case

A Tamaqua woman who admitted to drug offenses will spend eight to 23 months in jail.

Noelle Parisi, 30, was sentenced on Aug. 5 by Schuylkill County Judge John Domalakes. She pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance. Charges of criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance were dropped.Domalakes gave her credit for time served from June 16, 2014, through July 14, 2014, and from June 1 through Aug. 5. She was also ordered to pay court costs and fees.Parisi was charged by Tamaqua police after an incident on May 21, 2014.In a separate case, Domalakes sentenced Parisi to three to 23 months on the same charges, but granted her immediate parole. The charges in that case, filed by Tamaqua police, stemmed from an incident on May 14, 2014.In other court matters, President Judge William Baldwin has revoked a New Ringgold man's participation in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program.Brian Fetterman, 25, had been charged by West Penn Township police with driving under the influence and failing to obey traffic control devices on June 4, 2013. Last August, he was placed in ARD for 12 months and lost his license for 60 days.Then, Fetterman was charged by Wyomissing, Berks County, police on May 11 with use or possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from an incident on April 25.Baldwin on Aug. 5 took him out of the ARD program, which gives offenders a chance to clear their records, and told prosecutors to place him on the trial list.
