Route 443 in West Penn township is closed due to a violent crash involving two sport utility vehicles.

The crash occurred as West Penn police were investigating a crash about a quarter-mile east of the Clamtown intersection.As traffic was stopped in the east bound lane. an elderly driver did not notice the stopped vehicles slamming into the last in line.Four elderly patients were injured.West Penn police are investigating the incident.
