The Eldred Township supervisors will meet at 7:30 tonight.Monroe SeniorsThe Monroe County Seniors meeting at Zion Lutheran in Brodheadsville will gather again on Friday and next Wednesday, beginning at 9 a.m. The lunch menu for those two day is pork with pineapple sauce and lemon pepper chicken, respectively.Adult immunizations will be available on Aug. 12.Breakfast servedMcMichaels UMC will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday. There is no set cost; it is by donation.Thrift store openThe Eldred Township Community Center celebrated the Grand Opening of Nana Jean's Attic on Saturday. The store, the first of its kind in the community, will feature new and gently used children's clothing, household wares, adult clothing, furniture, home décor, and much more.The store hours have been announced as: Thursday, 2-7 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.Don't forget the ongoing activities at the center, including: Jam Session every Monday at noon and pinochle at 12:30 Tuesdays. Its purpose is to feed families going through emergency or other short-term situations that are not eligible for local, county or state programs. There is a limit of a 12-week lifetime duration per family. A valid driver's license or state ID with address proving residency in the West End is required.The SFRC serves communities including Effort, Gilbert, Kunkletown, Kresgeville, Brodheadsville, Saylorsburg, Sciota and Albrightsville.For more information, call the church at 570-629-1590.Nashville visitorsSt. Matthew's UCC in Kunkletown will begin its Sunday morning with a worship service at 9 a.m. That will be followed by a youth group breakfast fundraiser at 10:15. The breakfast is a donation event.A special concert at noon will feature The O'Donnells, all the way from Nashville, who will play gospel and bluegrass at a special service.The fundraiser is to help three youths and the youth adviser to attend the 2016 UCC National Youth Event in Buena Vista, Florida.The group includes Darryl O'Donnell, vocals and guitar; Klinton O'Donnell, keyboard and vocals; Randy Cramer, fiddle and harmony; RJ Cramer, drums; and Ric Carhart, bass.Meet and greetThere will be a free meet and greet for Hector Cintron from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the West End Firehouse on 715.There will be refreshments and also basket raffles.This event is hosted by the West End Democratic Association.Roy Ramos will be playing music.Home AssociationThe West End Memorial Post Home Association is slated to meet at 7:30 p.m. today.The American Legion of Post 927 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.The Auxiliary will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, and the Korean War vets are scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, with the 927 Riders and the SAL meeting Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively.Effort UMWThe United Church Women of Effort UMC are meeting at 7 p.m. Monday.Knit & CrochetZion Lutheran's Knit & Crochet Group in Brodheadsville will meet again at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
