Two people from Jim Thorpe were killed in a crash early Saturday morning in Penn Forest Township.

Stephen W. Pruiksma, 75, and Diane A. Pruiksma, 74, both died after their car hit a tree along Broad Mountain View Drive at about midnight.Neither wore a seat belt, according to state police at Lehighton.The crash happened as Stephen Pruiksma was driving east, traveled across the road and hit the tree head-on, police said.
