PITTSBURGH (AP) - Police say a 26-year-old pregnant woman has died after she was shot multiple times in Pittsburgh.

The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler says the woman was walking alone near an intersection when a "shadowy figure" fired multiple rounds at her. The woman was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where she died just before 10 p.m.

Toler says the woman was six weeks pregnant.

Authorities didn't immediately identify the victim.

No arrests have been made.
