July 28, 1976 John Zuber's grand slam caps a big eight-run fourth inning that propels Summit Hill to a 9-5 victory over Jim Thorpe in the Panther Valley Little League tournament. The Hillers trail by three runs entering the frame, but a two-run single by Tom Snyder and an RBI double by Ed Kruczek ties the score. Zuber's blast gives Summit Hill the lead for good. Kruczek, Snyder, Joe Zuber, Mike DeMatto and Mark Coury all finish with two hits for the winners. Ray Alberts collects three hits, one a homer, for Thorpe.
