A Northampton County man who led state police on a high-speed chase in which his speed was clocked at 110 mph entered a guilty plea in Carbon County court on Monday.

Corey James Kunsman, 25, of Walnutport, pleaded to two counts of reckless endangerment while a charge of fleeing or attempting to elude police was dropped in a plea bargain. He also pleaded to 12 summary motor vehicle code violations.Kunsman was arrested on Aug. 24, 2014, by troopers from the Lehighton barracks.Kunsman was observed operating a motorcycle in the area of Club Road and Route 248 in Lower Towamensing Township. Troopers attempted to stop him for a traffic violation.Kunsman did not stop despite troopers using their emergency lights and siren. A chase ensued in which Kunsman was clocked by troopers going 110 mph. The chase continued over various county roads with Kunsman also running red traffic lights and stop signs.Troopers also said Kunsman passed illegally and forced a motorist off the road, which is the basis for one of the two counts with the other count concerning the pursuing troopers. The chase finally ended when Kunsman put the cycle down on its side.Nanovic accepted the plea but deferred sentencing, ordering the adult probation office to prepare a presentence investigation report.
