The Lehigh Valley Heat defeated the Phantoms to capture the Championship at the Battle at the Stacks 18U Tournament in Bethlehem on July 19. The Heat, which is actually a 16U team, finished the weekend with a perfect 5-0 record. Among those making contributions for the Heat were two area softball players Bailey Pedersen of Tamaqua and Joclyn Hunsicker of Lehighton.
