Elijah J. Tapia, 21, of Kunkletown, sustained moderate injuries in a one-car crash at 11:18 p.m. July 12 on Route 715 in Jackson Township, according to state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

Police said he was driving a 2009 Mazda 3 southbound in the area of Doll Road when a deer ran into the roadway. Police said the car hit the deer, traveled off the right shoulder of the road, went down an embankment and rolled over.Police said the driver was evaluated at the scene by members of the West End EMS. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
