Keystone Karate wins awards

The list of first-rate honors continue to pour in for a local martial arts school.

Keystone Karate in Lehighton continues to churn out one impressive performance after another as attested by their fine performance at a pair of competitions held recently.The martial arts school took seven members to the 20th Annual World Karate Union Championships held last month at Camelback Resort in Tannersville.Also, 14 of its students competed in the Carbon County Championships held in May at Marian High School.Students- Aiden Kromer, first and fourth in the Carbon County Championships, and first and fourth at the Annual World Karate Union Championships- Ella Sittler, two seconds in the Carbon County Championships- Jordyn Keegan, two seconds in the Carbon County Championships, and two seconds in the Annual World Karate Union Championships- Sierra Scheirer, first and fourth in the Carbon County Championships- Autumn Sittler, third and fourth in the Carbon County Championships- Makayla Scott, first, second and third in the Carbon County Championships, as well as first, second, and two thirds in the Annual World Karate Championships- Ricky Bower, second and third in the Carbon County Championships- Alexa Scheirer, third and fourth in the Carbon County Championships- Sean Wall, second, third and fourth in the Carbon County Championships- Jocelyn Hater, two firsts and two seconds in the Carbon County Championships- Shoshana Gieniec, two seconds and one third in the Carbon County Championships- Jacob Kromer, second place in the Annual World Karate Union ChampionshipsAdults- Scott Kromer, second and third in the Carbon County Championships, as well as one second and three thirds in the Annual World Karate Union Championships- David Liebhaber, second, third and fourth in the Carbon County Championships, as well as first, second, third and fourth in the Annual World Karate Union Championships- Dave Scott, one first and two seconds in the Carbon County Championships, as well as a first and second in the Annual World Karate Union Championships- Will Everetts, first and second in the Carbon County ChampionshipsOther- Keystone Karate was named Best Karate School In Lehighton 2015- Keystone Karate received Most Supportive School for the Carbon County Championships- Keystone Karate was the featured school for March in the Tae Kwon Do Times- Scott is included in a Graphic Novel "The Immortals" for sale on Amazon- Scott received Instructor of the Year for 2015 by the World Karate Union- Instructors Dallas McCoy, Michael Knepper, Shannon Smith and John Collins were all named Assistant Instructor of the Year 2015.- Scott also mentioned its two sponsors, the Olde Tyme Corner store on Seventh Street in Lehighton, and The Sons of the American Legion.
