State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 5:05 p.m. on Friday along Bethel Road, in Pine Grove Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Jeremy A. Koch, 18, of Pine Grove, was driving a 1994 Honda Accord eastbound through a church parking lot while Rebecca L. Essig, 47, of Alburtis, Lehigh County, was southbound on Bethel Road. Troopers said Koch pulled out of the parking lot into the path of Essig. The front of Essig's 2005 Nissan Quest struck the right side of the Accord.Essig and her passengers, a 6-year-old girl and an infant boy, were taken to the Hershey Medical Center. The police report indicated Essig was the only one injured. Koch and his passenger, a 16-year-old male were not injured.Troopers cited Koch for vehicle entering or crossing a roadway.
