First Commonwealth contends Saez failed to make a payment under the contract for more than seven months.The suit says the plaintiff repossessed the vehicle in March of this year and sold it for $450 in a commercially reasonable manner, however, the complaint states, a deficiency balance remains on the agreement.Sought is $5,697.27 in principal, interest, attorney's fees and costs, as well as future costs and interest.Borough seeks fundsThe Borough of Lehighton has filed six municipal lien claims against defendants who owe bills for delinquent services, as follows:Gregory and Michel L. Third St., Jim Thorpe, is seeking judgment not to exceed the compulsory $50,000 limit of arbitration of the Carbon County Court on two separate counts of negligence and carelessness counts against a property owner in the Borough of Jim Thorpe, as well as the borough itself.In addition to the borough, the defendant is Clyde R. Shoop, 318 Center St., Jim Thorpe.In the complaint, Griffey states on Jan. 5, 2014, she was a lawful pedestrian on the sidewalk and/or pavement of the Shoop property when she fell, sustaining serious injuries that included permanent loss of a bodily function.The plaintiff states Shoop carelessly and negligently allowed a dangerous and defective condition to exist at the premises, including snow and ice was permitted to remain there for an unreasonable period of time.The count against the borough contends the borough was careless, reckless and negligent in allowing Shoop to neglect his property and by not giving the property owner notice to remedy the problems.Credit card billPortfolio Recovery Associates LLC, Norfolk, Virginia, has filed a civil action against Joseph Whiteway, 116 Azalea Drive, Albrightsville, seeking judgment in its favor in a credit card default case.
