A 26-year-old Stroudsburg man is being investigated in the shooting of another man at 7 p.m. July 1 in A Pocono Country Place, Coolbaugh Township.

Pocono Regional Police Department issued a report saying the man, who is not identified, may have been involved in the incident. Pocono Regional police were contacted by Stroud Area Regional police, who were at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg with a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man told them he had gone to A Pocono Country Place to buy a car. He met with an unknown man who brandished a gun and then shot into the car in which the victim was a passenger.Police have recovered evidence and are investigating.
