Mixer set for area's young professionals

If you are a young professional living in Carbon County, an upcoming mixer will help you build connections and strengthen your networks.

The Young Professionals Council of Carbon County will host a meet and greet at Slopeside Pub and Grill at Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Palmerton from 5:30-7 p.m. on July 16.Marlyn Kissner, executive vice president of Northern Region Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and Carbon Chamber and Economic Development, said that the event is a call out to all young professionals living in Carbon County and aims to help them find ways to "unite, network and support your community."The mixer will also include a deck party, with steel drum music by Kristian Paradis.The Carbon Young Professionals Council of Carbon County is a group of young business owners, entrepreneurs and serious, active, civic-minded professionals within the Carbon County Economic Development Corporation, who have a deep appreciation of the county's leadership legacy and a clear vision of the area's future as a great place to live, play and do business.Members seek to create intergenerational connections and to understand the values, characteristics and experiences of the CCEDC's veteran professionals, while sharing their own unique perspective and skills, to create their own vision and empower the county's business community, promote economic success, and build their businesses or advance their careers.
