Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third Street, 9 a.m., includes reception of new members. There will also be a "send-off" blessing for the group of young people and advisers heading to Detroit for the churchwide youth gathering. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows.Eight teens and four adults are traveling to Detroit to participate in the ELCA Youth Gathering July 15-19 to live out their baptismal calls. The theme is "Rise Up Together."There are over 20,000 expected to attend from throughout the nation plus international participants. The events will take place in Ford Field, Cobo Center and on the streets of Detroit.
