A tractor-trailer rig crashed along a Schuylkill County road after its brakes failed.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Mohamed Aitzahra, 42, of Philadelphia, was driving a 2013 Freightliner with flatbed trailer northbound on Route 125 in Eldred Township, at 10 a.m. Wednesday and negotiating a right curve.The brake system failed, causing Aitzahra to lose control.The truck entered the northbound shoulder and hit multiple trees and then struck an embankment. The rig came to final rest facing north along the berm.Aitzahra sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by emergency personnel.
