A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect for the area.

Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph

A funnel cloud has been reported in Lehigh County.

Shortly before 3 p.m., Matt Kusko of Lansford reported on Facebook. "Tornado in Allentown, stuck in the mall."

He added, "The lights went out, hailing outside and made us all go to the lower level."

A half hour later he reported all was fine.

A thunderstorm watch is in effect until 8 p.m.
