Rush Township Police have filed charges against Justin R. Donton, 29, of Pine Grove, in connection with an April 4 incident.

Donton was driving a triaxle truck on Fairview Street when he lost control and struck a utility pole, causing coal to spill across the roadway. The street had to be shut down for more than six hours while clean up operations were conducted.The driver was taken to St. Luke's Miners Hospital-Coaldale campus, for treatment of his injuries. Blood tests taken that day were positive for methamphetamine and marijuana.Donton was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and numerous traffic offenses.
