A Hazleton woman was incarcerated in the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, after a shoplifting incident at the HT Commons Walmart in Hometown.

On June 16, at 2:27 p.m., Dawn Carter, 48, took merchandise valued at $434.90. She was immediately arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, who set bail at $10,000.Unable to post the required 10 percent, Carter was taken to the county prison.
