A Lehigh Township man was arrested Thursday, one day after he was seen carrying a golf bag filled with stolen copper pipes from a township home.

Boston Leaswitch, 19, of S. Cypress Drive, has been charged with trespassing, theft, and attempted theft from a home in the 1000 block of Riverview Drive.The copper theft was reported at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday by the homeowner who had a confrontation with Leaswitch in the rear of the residence as he carried a golf bag filled with copper.When a township officer arrived at the house he saw the man, about 6-feet tall, wearing a gray sleeveless T-shirt and blue denim shorts run into the woods carrying the bag.The officer chased him, but was unable to locate him in the densely wooded area.Township police were assisted by Northampton Borough, Moore Township, Northampton County Sheriff's Deputies, and the state police in searching the area.A follow-up investigation led to Leaswitch, township police said.
