A driver fled the scene of a one-vehicle crash that occurred on May 10 in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Edward Whitehead III, 30, of Andreas, was driving a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon westbound on West Lizard Creek Road, at Lauchnors Road, in East Penn Township, when he lost control. The vehicle struck a pole causing it to overturn and come to rest about 100 feet from where it struck the pole.A passenger, Timothy Whitehead, 30, of Nesquehoning, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained moderate injuries, troopers said. Edward Whitehead then fled the scene on foot, troopers added.
