Schuylkill commissioners OK service agreements

Schuylkill County commissioners on Wednesday approved purchase of service agreements between the Children & Youth Services agency and the following providers for one year, beginning July 1:

• Nicholas Pappas of Hershey for biopsychosocial evaluation at a per unit rate of $250;• Clinical Outcomes Group of Pottsville for initial assessment at a per unit rate of $150, and weekly group sessions at a per unit rate of $20;• Penn Kashar of Pottsville for answering service (the first 100 calls) at a per unit rate of $90, and subsequent calls at a per unit rate of $0.45;• The Redco Group of Pottsville for seed mentoring at a per unit rate of $6, travel at a per unit rate of $11.26, and case management and counseling at a per unit rate of $16.56.For the Human Services agency, commissioners approved a rate agreement with Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 for medical assistance transportation program services from June 11 through Aug. 20 for summer youth counsel house program clients.Transportation rates are $17 per one-way trip for under 10 miles, and $18 per one-way trip for over 10 miles.Commissioners also approved these agreements with the agency for one year, beginning July 1:• A rate agreement with Maximum Care of Whitehall for homemaker/personal care services at $17.25 per hour;• A rate agreement with Good Will Fire Company No. 1 of Minersville for medical assistance transportation program services. The rates are $45 per one-way trip with one hour or less of wait time, and $50 per one-way trip with more than one hour of wait time.The rates for mileage are $2.75 per loaded mile for trips equal to or under 50 miles, and $2.90 per loaded mile for trips over 50 miles.Commissioners also approved a rate agreement between the Human Services department and Philips Lifeline of Framingham, Massachusetts, for personal emergency response systems monitoring at $25 per month per consumer.
