Troop 187 welcomes Dobrowski as Eagle

Troop 187 welcomes another Eagle Scout to its ranks.

On Sunday, an Eagle Scout Court of Honor Ceremony to honor Trevor Dobrowski was held at the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club. While following in the footsteps of his older brother, Joseph, Trevor spearheaded a project to beautify Riverview Park in East Penn Township. His brother last year completed the "Orange Eagle Trail" off River Road in East Penn.Trevor, while assisting his brother, decided he would add to the area and make some additions that would benefit the people using the trail. He set out to build a meditation bench, a fence to guard from the creek, and picnic grove.Trevor said, "I spent approximately 121 hours on the project."Michele Dobrowski, Trevor's mother, said, "When Joe was completing his project in Riverview Park, Trevor thought it would be a great area to picnic in. He contacted attorney (Bill) Schwab who was on the Parks Commission and presented his idea, which was approved and built."The "Orange Eagle Trail" is to the west side of River Road, across from the boat launch area. If you travel back this trail, you will see the picnic grove and fence, further down you will find the meditation bench. It is an ideal area to sit and collect your thoughts in a peaceful setting.Mike Hines, Scoutmaster for Troop 187 and Keith Hines, mentor for Trevor, provided much guidance during his project.
